QAISys, Inc. at SIIM 2007
We are pleased to announce that Rick Dale and Kevin Lingofelter will be representing QAISys, Inc. at SIIM 2007 June 7th – 10th. The Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM – formerly known as SCAR) provides a vibrant community and collegial forum for networking with peers and thought leaders in the field of imaging informatics.
New Web Site
We have rebuilt our web site a DNN platform. DNN is a modular infrastructure that allows infinate expandability and a great deal of versatility. It is well suited to our plans for building and supporting a robust web-based solution.
Completion of Version 1.0 of QAISys® SA
We have completed Version 1.0 of our stand-alone software application - QAISys® SA. It is a solid, well-designed application and is being used as the basis for our case study work. Many thanks to the ScienceSoft team who developed it for us. We are especially pleased with the input interface design and the general layout.
"This software makes data entry very simple. I was able to build the nescessary fields and begin entering data quickly." - Jeff Lawson R.T. (R) ARRT, Radiology Administrator, St. Vincent Mercy Hospital, Elwood, IN
We plan to build many of the desgn concepts in this software into QMS 2.0.
QMS 2.0
We are developing a Web-based application that will: 1) emobody all of the functionality of QAISys® SA (manual data inputs and management); 2) enable automated inputs from RIS/PACS; and 3) compile global data for global analyses and make the data readily available to our subscribers in the form of benchmarks. We plan to make this a first rate service with excellent analysis and reporting tools including a QRw Trending component, email alerts for significant quality failures, and comparison of subscriber data with global data benchmarks in near-real-time.
Case Studies to Commence
Now that we have a complete and reliable stand-alone software application that fully embodies the QAISys® process, we have begun collecting data at several facilities. We intend to be directly involved with implementation at these sites to assist in every way necessary to assure success, to maximize the value of the information gained, and to discover areas where the software and processes might be improved.
QAISys® Concept Represented at AHRA’s 34th Annual Meeting and Exposition
QAISys, Inc. will be represented by Rick & Julie Dale at AHRA’s annual meeting in Las Vegas, NV July 30th – August 3rd. We are looking forward to this meeting because it is specifically targeted to bring together our primary market – Radiology Department Administrators. We expect to be able to share positive feedback from our case study work and to establish vital new contacts. AHRA – American Healthcare Radiology is the preeminent organization for radiology administrators. http://www.ahraonline.org/

QAISys® Concept Introduced at SCAR 2006
We introduced the QAISys™ concept to the medical imaging and informatics industry at the 2006 SCAR Convention in Austin, TX April 27th – 30th. We were able to present the concept to systems developers, radiologists, and radiology administrators. We had very positive and thought-provoking exchanges with a number of individuals. We believe that we made a very good first impression based on the favorable responses we received from visitors.
SCAR – Society for Computer Applications In Radiology has changed its name at this year’s conference to SIIM - Society for Imaging Informatics In Medicine. This name better reflects the organization’s broadening constituency and direction. Medical imaging is a vital component to effective healthcare delivery and advances in informatics are enabling it to be more pervasive throughout the healthcare enterprise. – SCAR Becomes the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine http://www.scarnet.org/name_change.html
We truly appreciate the leadership being provided by this organization and look forward to participating in future events.
