The QAISys® process, when fully implemented, enables ongoing, efficient, structured communication and analysis. This in turn serves as the basis for a Kaizen or PDCA approach to continuous quality improvement. Complete implementation involves development of both technical and human elements. This development requires leadership on the part of management. We have identified five distinct, progressive stages of implementation. Each stage offers different quality improvement benefits, has unique data characteristics, and poses new leadership challenges which must be met in order to progress to the next stage. We will soon present an in-depth discussion regarding progression through the stages of implementation.
